Why do the glass products have to be annealed?

      Annealing of glass products is to eliminate or weaken the residual stress and optical inhomogeneity in the products to the greatest extent, and to stabilize the internal structure of 

the glass. For glass products that have not been annealed, the internal structure has not been in a stable state, such as the change in glass density after annealing.

Annealing is a metal heat treatment process, which refers to slowly heating the metal to a certain temperature, keeping it for a sufficient time, and then cooling it at an appropriate

speed. The purpose is to reduce the hardness, improve the machinability; reduce the residual stress, stabilize the size, and reduce the tendency of deformation and cracking.
